INFO ABOUT THE GHENT ORGAN CENTRE
Orgelkunst has worked for over a year and a half on a first edition of the complete organ works of the Ghent composer and organist Gabriel Verschraegen (1919-1981).
Gabriel Verschraegen was the founder-chairman of the Ghent Organ Centre.
As a composer he wrote many organ works that were partly inspired by Gregorian chant but also by a neo-baroque idiom influenced by Max Reger and/or Paul Hindemith.
He also wrote works for organ with other instruments.
